Jim Wood - Executive Director Wears Valley Ranch

My first experience at overnight camp was when I was nine years old. Then, in high school and college, I worked as a camp counselor in Virginia and North Carolina. Before we built anything at Wears Valley Ranch, an important part of our vision was to have a camp where young people could have a fresh experience of God's presence in a beautiful natural setting. Our goal in everything we do is to make the Gospel believable. In addition to being the Executive Director of Wears Valley Ranch, I also host a nationally syndicated radio program, Abiding in Christ. My lovely wife Susan and I have been married for over 40 years and have seven children and ten grandchildren.
