Leader In Training (LIT) Job Description

We couldn’t do it without you! Whether you’re helping in a cabin, doing dishes in the kitchen or are cleaning track areas, you will be investing in the value of camp for each of the campers. If you are a highschooler and would like to join the best team, we are looking forward to getting your application.

Our Leader in Training Program is one of the best things we do at camp. It involves ministering to children while being ministered to by the LIT Director. For many LITs, it’s their first experience away from home and their first opportunity to serve others in a sacrificial way through tasks like working in the kitchen, doing laundry, helping set up games and tracks, and ministering to younger campers. We also pick out a book and go through it during the Summer as well as spend time in prayer and learn about what it looks like to lead like Jesus. Being an LIT at Camp is both incredibly difficult and incredibly rewarding. You will be a major part of our staff that we rely on.

Steps to Becoming an LIT

  • Fill out the application by Jan 30th.

  • We will review your application and contact your references

  • Moving forward, we will conduct an interview

  • We will contact you by March 1 once we have made our final staffing decisions.

We hire based on who is the best fit for our Summer Staff Team. Preference is also given on how many weeks applicants can work. Staff week is mandatory and working 3 additional weeks is the minimum for consideration.
